Jennifer Garner to play Agatha Christie's Miss Marple

Jennifer Garner has landed the title character in Walt Disney Pictures’ upcoming big-screen adaptation of Agatha Christie’s Miss Marple mystery novel series.

According to IGN, the character - immortalized in countless films and TV shows over the past 50 years - is traditionally an elderly woma
n, but Disney's reboot will revolve around a much younger Marple cracking crimes.

According to Deadline.com, Mark Frost - who has experience with mysteries, having scripted much of David Lynch's Twin Peaks - will write the script, while Garner will produce through her Vandalia Films company, with Disney overseeing the project, reports News.com.au.

Jennifer Garner in a chemistry thriller

ValentinesDay star Jennifer Garner is all set to star alongside Jeremy Renner in a new thriller Better Living Through Chemistry.

The actress, who is married to Ben Affleck, is in talks to star opposite Renner to play a trophy wife in the movie, which will see writers Geoff
Moore and David Posamentier make their directorial debut.

To be made by Occupant Films, the movie tells the story of a small-town pharmacist, played by Renner, who is stuck in a loveless marriage and rediscovers himself by having an affair with Garner's married alter-ego.

Although she is talks to star in this movie, Jennifer has previously admitted she was considering returning to TV work as it is much more stable than making movies.

The mother-of-two, who starred in sci-fi drama Alias said, "I never say never to TV because it has been really good for me. I am not a snob about work. The great thing about TV is you can stay in one place. Eventually my kids aren't going to want to be living all over the place. Television would allow us to settle down."
