Michael Cera, Jason Schwartzman, Kieran Culkin battle the red carpet for 'Scott Pilgrim vs. the World'

Michael Cera told Hero Complex recently that he really enjoyed getting into fighting shape for his lead role in "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World," which premiered Tuesday night in Hollywood.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead at Scott Pilgrim vs. the World premiere "I felt fantastic, mentally and physically," Cera said. "It was a long time ago.”

Not so long ago that he couldn't fight his way down the red carpet, however, with cast mates including Kieran Culkin, who plays the platonically bed-sharing gay roommate; Anna Kendrick, the sister who can't help falling for gay men; and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who as Ramona Flowers is the object of Scott Pilgrim's desire -- and the chick with the seven evil exes who must be defeated.

Other "Pilgrim" people hitting the carpet Tuesday: Jason Schwartzman, Brandon Routh, Alison Pill, Mark Webber, Mae Whitman and Ellen Wong, plus director Edgar Wright and author Bryan Lee O'Malley, who wrote the books on which the film is based.

Directors Judd Apatow and Guillermo del Toro were there to check out the flick -- which also screened as a surprise for fans at Comic-Con on Thursday -- along with actors Abigail Breslin, Thomas Jane, Sigourney Weaver and Seth Green, to name a few.

Isaiah Mustafa cast in Jennifer Aniston movie 'Horrible Bosses'

That Old Spice deal keeps turning out new work for Isaiah Mustafa, the six-pack-showing star of those body wash commercials.

The onetime NFL player turned actor will appear in "Horrible Bosses," the ensemble comedy starring Jennifer Aniston, Colin Farrell and Kevin Spacey.

"I'm playing a cop because I play these authoritative characters well. I don't know exactly who I'm in the scene with -- maybe Jennifer Aniston!" Mustafa told the Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday.

"Bosses" tells the tale of three disgruntled workers who conspire to hand off employer revenge duties to each other.

It's been one home run after another for Mustafa, who's got a holding deal with NBC and a part in Tyler Perry's "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf." Just don't compare him to "The Jersey Shore" star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino.
"Who names himself the Situation? If only the Old Spice Guy would have thought of that one. How outrageous is it? I do not take myself seriously like that -- not in the least bit -- that would be so pretentious," he said.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt buy $40-million Italian villa

Life is dolce for Angelina Jolie and Brad PItt, as the pair have purchased a roughly $40-million Italian villa, according to a new report.

The 15-bedroom estate -- in Valpolicella, in the province of Verona, where "Romeo and Juliet" was set -- counts among its features a screening room, two pools, several Jacuzzis and a home gym.

"Mr. Pitt and Ms. Jolie saw it for 10 minutes and they said yes," Alexander Proto, a consultant for the property, told E! News.

"They were very determined. We are very pleased [to] have worked with them … no problems, very nice, very competent, ideal customers."

Living in this kind of luxury is nothing new for the Jolie-Pitts -- remember, twins Knox and Vivienne were born while the family was camping out at Chateau Miraval in the south of France.
