Leonardo Dicaprio was Amanda Seyfried’s favourite actor as a child

Actress Amanda Seyfried, known for her role in “Mean Girls”, says she was “obsessed” with the movie “Romeo and Juliet” and that Leonardo DiCaprio was her favourite when she was 11-year-old.

The former child star, now 25, has confessed she used to watch the 1996 movie, a modernised version of Shakespeare’s original play that has DiCaprio as tragic lover Romeo Montague.

“I’ve always loved movies that have that kind of fantastical element

to them. I was obsessed with ‘Romeo and Juliet’. I was, like, 11 when it came out. I watched it all the time. I couldn’t stop watching it. Leonardo DiCaprio was my absolute favourite,” femalefirst.co.uk quoted her as saying.

“I was just so inspired by that movie, for whatever reason. It’s beautiful. It’s bright. It’s vivid and intense. And then the love story and the soundtrack. I probably shouldn’t have seen it as young I did, but I did and I loved it,” she said.

Amanda Seyfried Says No ‘Mamma Mia’ Sequel

Amanda Seyfried, who portrayed the role of Sophie Sheridan in the movie, ‘Mamma Mia’ has denied the reports that the producers are planning to make the sequel of the 2008 release, ‘Mamma Mia’. The actress claimed that there is no point trying to make it.
Amanda Seyfried said, "I don`t think that`s correct. I don`t think it`s accurate. Because I don`t see the point in trying to top something.”
The actress maintained that the original movie was good and there is no way a sequel can be better than the original.
"I mean, maybe if they had a really good idea for a story, but I don`t think they would do it to top the first one. It`s a good movie. It`s an original piece. It`s something that was really popular on Broadway. It`s a great soundtrack; a good, family-friendly movie," the actress claimed.
Few days back, actress Meryl Streep expressed her desire to act in another ‘Mamma Mia’ movie which gave birth to the rumours of the sequel.
