Sandra Bullock gives $1million to help Japan

Along with the fame and fortune, Sandra Bullock's movie career has also brought her riches beyond the dreams of many.

But the kind-hearted actress obviously appreciates her luck, donating $1million to the Red Cross to support its relief effort for the disaster in Japan.

Sandra was recently listed at the 22nd highest earner in Hollywood for 2010, taking home over $22 million and this year is set to be as good professionally for the star with four films in production and five in development.

The organisation said in a statement: 'The American Red Cross is extremely grateful for this generous support from Sandra Bullock and her family.

'This contribution is vitally important as the Red Cross works to provide critical assistance and essential relief items in this time of urgent need for so many people in Japan.'

The 46-year-old Hollywood actress has previously given $1 million to Doctors Without Borders to aid the Haiti relief effort after the devastating earthquake there in 2010.

Actress Amanda Seyfried also showed her support for the relief effort, holding up a 'please help' banner featuring the Japanese flag as she was stopped by photographers in West Hollywood today.

Today Sandra was back at work on the set of her new movie Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, filming on location at the Westwood Cemetery in Brooklyn.

Rather than leave him in the care of a nanny, she took along her son Louis, who she adopted last year.

The film, based on the novel by Scott Rudin, follows a nine-year-old amateur inventor and astrophysicist who scours New York city for a lock that matches a mysterious key left by his father after he was killed in the September 11 attacks.

Sandra stars alongside Tom Hanks, John Goodman and James Gandolfini n the film which will be released in 2012.

Sandra Bullock divorce now finalised

Actress Sandra Bullock and estranged husband Jesse James have filed divorce papers in Texas, according to reports.

A representative for the Oscar-winning star confirmed the divorce was final, People magazine has said.

Bullock, 45, and James - a reality TV star and motorbike enthusiast - met in 2003 and were married in 2005.

The actress began divorce proceedings earlier this year after James was accused of having an affair with tattoo model Michelle McGee.

According to People, the papers cited "discord or conflict of personalities" as the reason for the split.

In April, Bullock - who won an Academy Award this year for her work in The Blind Side - revealed she had adopted a baby boy named Louis.

Last month the actress said it was "time to get back to normal" as she was honoured at the MTV Movie Awards.

Recently there's been a ton of same sex make-out sessions. The last smooch being a new low even by MTV standards.

It seems like something that was once sexy and secretive — same sex kissing by heterosexuals — is now the new porn, it's everywhere. Last night, there was no rhyme or reason for Scarlett and Sandra to touch lips, with the exception of maybe detracting attention away from Sandra's personal life woes. But I doubt MTV was trying to be courteous when they choreographed the blonde and brunette's lip lock.

I've seen the drunk (and even sometimes sober) college girls start to make out with their bff's in hopes of impressing that guy they've been dying to get with. Maybe this works as guys seem to get turned on by some girl-on-girl action, but the same can not be said for girls watching guy-on-guy action

Sandra Bullock is so excited by the success of her latest film Proposal that she is ready to drop clothes for the camera more often in the future.
The star was seen romping with Ryan Reynolds in the film, which saw her playing a aggressive publishing boss who forces her assistant to marry her to avoid transportation to Canada. The couple then have to convince family and friends they are a true item on a trip to Alaska.
The film was so successful on the box office that it prompted Sandra to joke that she would now strip more often. "Box office like this - I'm going to be naked in every single film!" She is saying.
She added: "I'm going to be 70 years old - everything like hanging down, and I'm just going to walk by in random people's films."
