Lindsay Lohan sent back to jail

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan was sent to jail again a week after she admitted that she failed a drug test ordered by the court. Los Angeles county sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore told reporters Lindsay will be housed in "administrative segregation" because of her celebrity status for her Lindsay will be housed in "administrative segregation" because of her celebrity status for her safety and the safety of the jail system. 

He also said the only way she could be released before her probation hearing on Oct 22 is if the judge issues another order, tmz.com reported.

The Mean Girls star was in court because she failed two drug tests -- in one she tested positive for cocaine and the other for Adderall.

Judge Fox did not hear any arguments from the lawyers before making his ruling.

"It's shocking because the underlying offence is a misdemeanour, and people connected with the case were telling us the judge had to offer Lindsay bail, Lindsay's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley was quoted as saying.

Lohan confirmed in a Twitter posting last week that she had failed a court-ordered drug test. The random tests Lohan is subjected to twice a week are part of her punishment from her time behind bars and in rehabilitation.

Lohan spent three weeks at a drug-rehabilitation programme last month. She went into the rehab programme after serving 13 days in jail for violating her probation.

After her release from the rehabilitation programme, Fox ordered Lohan to remain in Los Angeles, participate in psychotherapy counselling and chemical dependency sessions, in addition to 12-step meetings. She was also ordered to submit to random drug and alcohol testing no less than twice a week and attend behavioural therapy classes twice a week.

'Glee' Tackles Britney Spears' Snake-Charming VMA Set

Hold tight, Gleeks! The all-Britney Spears episode of "Glee" is just days away, and details about the pop star's tribute are trickling in.

We already know the McKinley high-schoolers are going to revamp Brit's debut smash " ... Baby One More Time" and her Madonna match-up "Me Against the Music." The song-and-dance crew has also reached beyond Spears' trendsetting clips to one of her iconic stage performances: the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards rendition of "I'm a Slave 4 U."

A picture surfaced Friday (September 24) of the megastar's "Glee" namesake Brittany (played by Heather Morris) rocking a bejeweled green-and-blue two-piece similar to Spears' skimpy VMA ensemble, with a yellow boa draped over her shoulders.

Morris recently opened up about the arc of Tuesday's episode, dishing that the glee clubbers rebel against Schuester's ban on retooling Spears' hits.

"Through a special substance, I go under and have a couple of dream sequences — not only myself, but with Santana [Naya Rivera]," Morris told Australian magazine TV Week. "A lot of it has to do with Will [Matthew Morrison] not allowing us to perform Britney Spears songs, because he doesn't agree with what kind of entertainer she is, so it's our fight to do Britney. But it's not just us doing Britney in show choir; there are other sequences — it's our homage to her."

Tuesday's show is shaping up to be a busy one for Morris, who is also vamping it up opposite Spears herself in their reworking of "Music." However, the actress insisted her previous encounters with Spears helped her stay cool around the pop icon.

"It wasn't really nerve-racking, because I've met her before and I wasn't really overwhelmed by who she is," she said. "But the idea of what she has given us for the show and, for me, getting to dance with her and play with her on set, I was just staring at her at one point and thinking, 'This is just so frickin' awesome.'

Even as elder sister Lindsay Lohan faces another stint in jail, 16-year-old Ali Lohan is grabbing headlines with a racy new advertisement where she models a series of revealing outfits.
Ali posed in a series of outfits from her sister's clothing line '6126', including cleavage baring frocks and sheer dresses.
The teenager has shocked fans with her very adult photoshoot and she looks much older than her years in the outfits, reported Daily Mail online.

The line is inspired by Marilyn Monroe and "salutes modern women who understand that confidence can be bewitching and classic sophistication is always in vogue". Lindsay meanwhile is due back in court today to answer to charges she broke her probation by testing positive for cocaine.
Judge Elden Fox could schedule a formal probation revocation hearing 30 days from tomorrow. If Judge Fox decides to go that route he could order the Mean Girls star to go to jail immediately and stay there until the formal hearing.
However, if she is sentenced to 30 days she could end up serving no time at all due to jail overcrowding.

The film that stars Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, Abhay Deol, Farhan Akhtar and Kalki Koechlin will have a super hot liplock scene. And it will be Hrithik and Katrina who will share over a minute long kiss scene in the film.

Confirming the news, a source said, “Zoya had been planning a kiss sequence between Hrithik and Katrina for long. But since Katrina is averse to doing such scenes, she wanted to handle the situation delicately.”

As per reports, there is an extended kissing scene between Hrithik and Katrina. Talking about the scene, the source said, “There’s an important sequence where Katrina realizes her love for Hrithik, who has just bid her goodbye and is going away and so she zooms in on her bike, overtakes Hrithik, parks the bike and stops him and simply kisses him and expresses her feelings and love. “

What’s interesting is that Zoya did not have much difficulty in convincing Katrina to enact the scene. And if sources are to believed then this will be the longest kissing scene in Bollywood, beating the previous one by Aamir and Karisma in ‘Raja Hindustani’.

Sam Jones III, boyfriend and Karissa Shannon sex tape partner, met with Vivid boss Steve Hirsch personally Wednesday. Probably to express their "outrage" over this.

Confronted by TMZ, Sam said the pair, which dubiously claimed they didn't know how the tape got out, is "exploring all of our options" ... then quickly covered his a$$.

"Especially our legal options," he said.

The bottom line: If they don't want the public to see Sam go to town on Karissa with whips and handcuffs, there's no way Vivid can sell it without their consent. None.

Any implication that they're the victims is absurd. Like Heidi Montag, they can put the kibosh on it if they choose. If it's released, they did it for the money. A lot of it.

Marilyn Monroe's house sold for $4 million

Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe's Los Angeles home, where she was found dead from drug overdose, has sold for close to $4 million.

The Spanish colonial house in Brentwood where Monroe died in 1962, sold for $255,000 dollars above the $3,595,000 asking price.

The one-storey four-bedroom, three-bathroom house features polished concrete and terra cotta tile floors, original wood beamed ceilings and period hardware and tiles, reported Los Angeles Times.

Built in 1929, the "hacienda" and pool sit on 23,000 square feet of tree-filled grounds, according to the website of David Offer, with Prudential California Realty.

Offer's website described the house as, "The crown jewel and largest property of all the Helenas (one of Brentwood's most romantic and coveted locations)."

The actress and model, who died at age 36, had bought the house for $75,000. According to public records, the house's most recent seller had purchased it for $925,000 in 1996.

Sofia Vergara basks in an 'amazing' time in her life

Sofia Vergara may not personally have an Emmy, but she's certainly got the perks that come with being nominated.

"For me, because of my boobs, it's really hard to find something (that fits)," says Vergara. "But this time, I had every dress possible sent to me."

Custom-fit designer dresses aside, Vergara is no newbie when it comes to showbiz. And she's ready to cash in on her Modern Family fame.

"I want to take advantage of my 15 minutes of fame," says Vergara. "I want to make a lot of money!"

"For me, it's amazing," says Vergara, 38, whose sexpot turn as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett on the Emmy-winning ABC sitcom (Season 2 premieres tonight, 9 ET/PT) garnered her a supporting-actress nomination — and a prime position to gather a new fan base.

"I think the moment that the show started airing, the recognition from everybody in the streets, young kids, teenagers," says the Colombian bombshell, who, pre-Modern Family, mainly worked as an actress for the Spanish-language cable network Univision.

"I've been in the entertainment industry for the last 20 years in the Latin market. Being able to be honored in an American sitcom ... It's the same thing, but on a bigger scale. Before I'd never gotten recognized by American people."

"Colombia is ecstatic. Everyone went crazy," says Vergara of her Emmy nod. "For us, it's not very often we get good press ... not being famous for something (other than) the cocaine. I never dreamed of this."

As Gloria, a smoking-hot mom married to Ed O'Neil's much older Jay Pritchett, she can relate — the part was, after all, written especially for Vergara.

"I like that she's Colombian!" enthuses Vergara. "I love it. It was so fantastic, so convenient for me. They could have made it a generic Latin woman. They didn't have to specify. But for me it's amazing because they can talk about the culture. I can show a little bit of my country to the States, to the world."

"It's very close to me, I'm a mother with a kid, I'm an immigrant in this country," says Vergara, who has a son, Manolo, who — wait for it — just turned 19. "He's in shock that I got nominated for an Emmy ... He says 'I think you're the only person who comes to this country and instead of improving the accent, it gets worse.' "

So yes, Vergara "rubbed it (that nomination) in his face."

And even though she didn't win (Glee's Jane Lynch nabbed the trophy), she's humbled just to be honored.

"So weird, because never in my life was that an option for me," says Vergara. "I don't even know what to say. It was never something I grew up thinking about. To me, it's like a gift."

With a red-hot career, a loving boyfriend (Nick Loeb, 35, whom Vergara nursed through a recovery following a car accident last month), and a grown-up son, Vergara is living the good life.

"Professionally, I've done it all," says Vergara when asked what dreams are left unfulfilled. "Personally, I've already raised my child. He's almost an adult."

So what's next? More kids? Marriage?

"I guess I just need to sit down and enjoy."

James Bond film back on track?

Daniel Craig could return as James Bond in the upcoming installment of the franchise, following reports that the latest 007 film is back on track. Sam Mendes has pulled out of negotiations to direct futuristic thriller The Hunger Games because MGM are ready to move forward with
production on Bond 23.

According to Deadline Hollywood, the shooting for the movie could begin by late summer or early autumn 2011. Earlier, the Bond Daniel Craigflick was put on indefinite hold, with EON Productions blaming the financial difficulties of MGM studios, which is reported to have a 3.7 billion-dollar debt, reports the Mirror.
 
MGM announced this week that its lenders have agreed to extend the company's debt repayment period further.

The studio, which also has a stake in the forthcoming Hobbit movie, is going through a pre-packaged bankruptcy before Spyglass takes over.

Kristen Stewart is otherwise a shy girl.  She always aspired to become a writer/director, than an actress.  Part of it was because of her nervousness to publicity.

But today, things have turned out to be different for this 20-year-old Twilight actress.  She finds herself surrounded by paparazzi each time she makes public appearance.  This also has a lot of stress on her relationship with co-star Robert Pattinson.

For instance, Kristen was baffled when reports of her New Year holiday with co-star Robert emerged.  This is because the duo purposefully went to Britain’s Isle of Wight to get away from the paparazzi.   They headed to the small island’s Ventnor resort for a solitary confinement.  The duo was snapped by a young person who was surprised to see Twilight pair together:  Putting down Stewart in disbelief that they were singled out.

Later, Kristen recounts the incident to Britain’s Sunday Telegraph:   “That was some kid, not paparazzi, who took that shot. That’s the kind of thing that just baffles you. I can’t believe that came out.”

Earlier, she said she understood the paparazzi still tries to catch her and Robert doing anything that will make celebrity news.

She also admitted the exertion she has on to deal with the tag of celebrity status and said: “It is weird with the paparazzi. We are not on the top of the paparazzi list, but it is definitely tougher for Rob.”

In the meantime, pictures of Robert partying and jamming in Texas have surfaced.

Octomom Suleman offered porn deal

Nadya Suleman has been offered $500,000 (£320,000) to appear in a porn video, it has been revealed.

In documents obtained by TMZ, Vivid Entertainment revealed that it would pay the large sum to the mother of fourteen if she agreed to appear in "one scene for one hour" in one of their releases.

It was recently reported that Suleman is having trouble providing for her family after failing to secure a book or TV deal, and that she will soon be forced to apply for public assistance as well as vacate her home by next month.

However, Vivid insisted that it would make payment immediately in order to help clear her financial worries.

"[We can] arrange for [payment] to happen quickly so that you will get paid in advance of your October 9th deadline," the offer read.

The company previously offered Suleman $1 million (£640,000) for a similar tape in 2009, which she refused.
