Sheen, who is already at the top of his game and is about to make his mark on the Twilight saga as villainous Aro in Breaking Dawn Parts One and Two, is dating the equally luminous Rachel McAdams, 32.
The Queen star has been spending an increasing amount of time in the Canadian city, where the native Notebook star has her main home.
Earlier in the day, he enjoyed a romantic bike ride with the blonde in the surrounding countryside.
But he was able to join the other leading ladies in his life in the evening, as Beckinsale is filming a remake of Total Recall in Toronto.
It's being directed by her husband, Len Wiseman, 37 , who she met when he helmed vampire saga Underworld in 2003.
Beckinsale was a huge star on the ascendant at the time, while Sheen - who was also, rather awkwardly, in the movie - was merely a solid character actor.
But after the British actress, daughter of late Porridge star Richard, left Sheen, her career began to wither towards it's current moribund state.
Sheen, who has appeared in hit U.S. sitcom 30 Rock and played Tony Blair three times, has secured his place in the A-list pantheon.
The pair are no strangers to each other, maintaining a close relationship for the sake of Lily, but it is rare to see them at such a high profile event together - without their partners.
A cynic might suggest that this is Beckinsale's only chance to make a high profile arrival on a red carpet.
But the pair are so committed to raising their daughter together that such an observation would be churlish.
'I've been very lucky to have two marvellous men in Len and Michael, they've got no awkward feelings about parenting Lily and working things out,' Beckinsale told OK magazine.
And their daughter has bonded with her parents' significant others.
Lily, who is the spitting image of her mother, was pictured shopping with McAdams in L.A. recently, and is also close to Kate's husband Len Wiseman, who she has known since she was four.
