Reality programming has become one of the most popular formats on television and many of the people who allow their daily lives to be caught on tape end up becoming bona fide stars. Kim Kardashian commands more attention than many popular actors and actresses, not to mention she's the most searched for person on the internet.
The Daily Beast has compiled their annual list of the 10 highest paid reality stars and surprise! all three Kardashian sisters make the list. Our favorite "Jersey Shore" studs weren't left out and neither were the lovely "Hills" ladies.
It's not just their own show, but public appearances, promotions, book deals and some "Dancing With the Stars" action that help these stars maintain the moolah.
1: Kim Kardashian:
Kim made an estimated $6 million in 2010. She's made promotional deals with multiple products like Sketcher Shape-Ups and Quick Trim, wrote a book--"Kardashian Konfidential"--with her sisters and of course, stars in "Keeping Up with Kardashians." "Kim and Kourtney Take New York" is up next.
2 Lauren Conrad:
Lauren earned an estimated $5 million in 2010. "The Hills" beauty penned a triology of young adult novels which have sold over 1 million copies. She has her own style book, a clothing line and a new reality show in the works.
3 Bethenny Frankel:
Bethenny made an estimated $4 million in 2010. She earned notoriety for her saucy comebacks on Bravo's "The Real Housewives of New York" but her solo reality show "Bethenny Getting Married?" netted even more viewers. She has multiple fitness, lifestyle and cookbooks and is currently on "Skating with the Stars."
4 Audrina Patridge:
Audrina earned an estimated $3.5 million in 2010. She was Lauren's friend on "The Hills" and now the face of Bongo clothing and endorses other products. She was on "Dancing with the Stars" and Mark Burnett ("Survivor/the Apprentice") is reportedly producing her own upcoming reality show.
5 Kate Gosselin:
Kate earned an estimated $3.5 million in 2010. Kate Gosselin has been tabloid fodder ever since her insanely popular TLC show "Jon & Kate Plus 8." She is Jon are no longer, but Kate has still written multiple books and appeared on "Dancing with the Stars."
