James Franco, the 32-year-old actor from Milk, is in talks to make his Broadway debut in the role of Chance Wayne, in the revival of Sweet Bird of Youth. Already announce, to join Anne Hataway as the team to co-host the Oscars, now Franco is looking to fill the shoes of Paul Newman (film) and Christopher Walken (Broadway’s last production). In talks for the Geraldine Page role (film) (Irene Worth, Broadway) is Nicole Kidman.
It’s a shame Julie Taymor didn’t use him in Spider-Man after all he was the son of the Green Goblin and the new Green Goblin in the films. Wonder what Tennessee Williams would think of the casting?
