Rafael Nadal denies romance with Shakira

Rafael Nadal has dismissed reports that he's romancing pop star Shakira.

Reports of a emerging romance started making rounds following a cycle of meetings between the pair.

Last March (09), the Colombian singer seemingly cozies up to Nadal in Miami, Florida after watching the sportsperson succeed for the Miami Masters, and the pair was also spotted dining at a Barcelona hotel before shooting a video together in the city late last week.

However, a spokesperson for Nadal, Benito Perez-Barbadillo, has brushed off the rumors, insisting the pair is not an item.

Benito said that he, Nadal's manager Carlos Costa, and video director Jaume de Laiguana were also at the restaurant.

"We were all there, and Shakira only came when we'd complete the main course to have something to drink, accompanied by her manager, Ceci Kurzman, and Jaume. It was a dinner ordered with the director to brief Rafa on what was expected from him in the video," the Daily Express quoted him as telling the New York Post.

Earlier this month, Shakira celebrated her 33rd birthday with long-time fiancé Antonio De La Rua, while Nadal has been dating high school sweetheart Maria Francisca Perello, a.k.a. Xisca, for nearly four years.

The Fantastic 4 star - who has a 19-month-old daughter Honor Marie with husband Cash Warren - has fallen in love with Indian films and would love the chance to show off a different side to her acting talents.

She said: "Hindi films are very dramatic. They are colourful. And I love the singing and dancing bit. I would love to act in one of them."

Even though her attraction with its movies, Jessica, 28, admits she has never been to India, but is setting up a trip there and wants to see as much of the country's culture as possible.

She told DNA India: "India is a beautiful country I have never visited but would love to travel around and see the country soon. It will be a lot of fun."

During her travels, Jessica hopes to make new friends and says loyalty is one of the most important factors in building a lasting relationship with someone.

She explained: "Loyalty goes a long way. It is about being open and loving to people you care about, regardless of what they could offer you. It's not lacking just in Hollywood, I think in the world."
